Youth activity group
Nutor, the national youth group (name abbreviated from a Finnish term for 'youth activity group') works with the full time Youth Planner to plan and implement activities and events. The group also follows and takes part in discussion surrounding policies related to the disabled and the young, communication and international co-operation as well as sees that the youth are noticed and heard within the Federation.
Nutor consists of a chairperson and four members with the Youth Planner working as a secretary in meetings. The group meets four to six times a year. Members are elected at the annual Youth Forum two at a time for two-year terms and a chairperson every two years for a two-year term. Every under 30 year old Federation or local sub-organisation member has a right to vote and run for Nutor membership.
Events for the young
The most important events are camps and organisational activities, theme events and courses, training events, co-operation with young members of other youth and disabled people's organisations, and international co-operation on Nordic, European, and global level. The target group of the youth work is visually impaired people up to 30 years of age.
